Does my helmet have to be new to be painted?

Helmets not need to be brand new in order to be painted, however, it is strongly advised that the helmet is new. Any stone chips, marks or imperfections can dramatically affect the finish of the paintwork. There is usually a cost involved in the preparation work to get the helmet back to a 'paintable' condition.

Can you paint over a helmet that has already been painted?

As with the previous question above, there is usually preparation work involved if the helmet has already been considerably worn. It is also worth bearing in mind that an additional paint will add weight, this could also infringe regulations depending on the series you are competing in.

How long will my helmet take to be painted?

Depending on the complexity of the job involved, the time of year, works in progress and other variables, your helmet paint job can take 4 weeks to 16+ weeks in extreme cases or busy periods. It's always worth making sure time is on your side if planning around events or for the start of the season.

Can you supply the helmet as well as the paint job?

Yes, we are able to supply helmets and all accessories including Arai, Bell and Stilo, these can be found in our STORE. We can also supply other brands - of the helmet you are looking for isn't listed, please get in touch. Depending on the model, we may also be able to provide a preferential rate.
